I am an advocate of simple, consistent and intuitive designs.

I completed my graduation in Human Centered Design (HCD) from Srishti Institute of Art, Design and Technology, Bangalore - India. As a practitioner, I enjoy working on interdisciplinary projects as part of open idea-driven teams. I believe design is a way of touching people's lives, and interaction through design enables us to bring effective change.

Know me a little better here

I like to call myself a UX practitioner, design thinker, data visualizer, occasional artist, and a human-loving extrovert.

I began my design journey at the Srishti Institute of Art, Design, and Technology, Bangalore, in 2016. My last experience was with Tata Elxsi Ltd, Bangalore. During this time, I was also an onsite consultant at GE Healthcare, Bangalore. I was majorly involved in projects related to Personal Safety and Medical devices used in hospitals. The projects required delivering an end-to-end solution involving Design Research, Usability Audits, Interaction Design, and Design Documentation. Before Elxsi, I worked with Pensaar Design Studio, Bangalore and RMZ Corporations, Bangalore, for a brief tenure. My key interest lies in working at the intersection of design, business, and technology; hence, I am pursuing the Master of Integrated Innovation for Products and Services program at Carnegie Mellon University.

I was born and raised in Gujarat, India, where I grew up surrounded by art, fashion, and culture. If you guys come to my city, Ahmedabad, I will take you around to see some cool exposed brick architectural walls, and we can eat some nice mezze platter together. I used to read a lot as a child and wished for more books. For the last couple of years, I have only been buying books and feeling guilty about not reading them. The time I used to spend on reading, now I spend on watching (g)old cinema, gardening and listening to a lot of music.

What people say about me

  • "Every time that I've invested in Ayushi, I have come out a winner! She has the passion, the vision, and the persistence to succeed. Her honesty and integrity surpass the expectations I have when looking for a team member. A driven, ambitious individual with an infectious enthusiasm for anything. I can vouch anyone will be proud to have Ayushi on their team. It has been an absolute pleasure to have her on my team!"

Pranjal Jain, Lead UX Designer - Healthcare and Enterprise Solution Services, Tata Elxsi Ltd

  • "Ayushi is a true professional with grit and perseverance, not generally seen in designers. A very quick learner with an attitude of never say no, she has shouldered many responsibilities in the brief tenure she had with us. She was a pleasure to have around and a great team mate. She will succeed in all her future ventures and I truly hope that we work together again."

Narendra Ghate, Chief Designer at Tata Elxsi, Ltd.

  • "Ayushi is an extremely creative and diligent person who strives to create unique and innovative designs that makes best sense for problem at hand. Having worked with her to design our App during her internship, what was great about the entire process was her promptness in delivering work as well as her immediate understanding of what you want and subsequently translating that into great visuals. Thank you and good luck, Ayushi."

Vivek Agrawal, VP Product and Services, RMZ Corporations

  • Ayushi was always creative with designs and prompt with design alternatives. She is also very quick to learn the software with little direction or assistance. During her time with my team, she managed to take on a new feature, understand it and the software and provide detailed designs. Ayushi is a delight to work with and I wouldn’t hesitate to work on a team with her again. “

Jan Moyers, Clinical Analyst , GE Healthcare

  • It’s been a good experience working with Ayushi. For a brief period that we worked together, Ayushi was able to get work done in tight deadlines. She has an eye for detail and can visualise secondary research.

Pooja Doshi - UX Researcher and Strategist, Pensaar Design Studio

Some of my quirks

  • I am obsessed with symmetry.

  • I collect a lot of stationery, especially journals, which I never use but only preserve.

  • I like to cook for others more than for myself.

  • I drink way too many cups of chai (tea) in a day. A cup of tea symbolizes “getting started” to me.

If not work, you will usually find me sitting and reflecting in the cozy corners, writing poetry, practising taekwondo (very recently), participating in workshops, teaching my NGO kids, or performing in dramas and dance shows.
